Upgrading Questions - Customer Support Department

1. How Do I Upgrade My Software?

We have made upgrading your software a simple and easy process! To upgrade your software, simply contact us. After you have sent the requested information to us, someone will be in contact with you very shortly with information regarding your upgrade.

2. How often are upgrades released?

Upgrades to our product line are released whenever we fix a bug, or improve or add a new feature to the software. Usually, minor upgrades do not contain many "new" features - they are usually bug fixes and tweaks. When we release a major upgrade to the software, new features and such are added.

We do not have a set "schedule" for when a particular product is upgraded.

3. What Is Your Upgrade Policy? Are Upgrades Free?

Upgrades to any of our software products are free forever as long as the version you are looking to upgrade to is still within your version release. If the newest version of the product you are looking to upgrade has entered a new major version release, you will have to purchase an "upgrade kit" for a low, discounted price via our online store.

Example:

If you purchased SpyBuddy 2.1, you would be able to receive all the updates to SpyBuddy through version 2.9. Once SpyBuddy reaches it's third version (SpyBuddy 3.0), you would not be able to obtain the update free of charge - you would have to purchase an upgrade kit. You will then have SpyBuddy 3.0, and will be able to obtain all of the 3.0 updates through 3.9 (the process repeats itself).

Remember, however, if you purchased the software within 30 days of a new major release, you are entitled to a free upgrade to the next major release. Simply drop us an email letting us know, and we will process your upgrade immediately!
